Ashby

Talent Sourcer - Sales

Ashby

Hi 👋🏼 I'm Steph , one of the Recruiting Managers at Ashby, and I’m excited that we’re growing our GTM Recruiting team! I'm an Ashby customer turned employee as of late 2024. At the time I was so excited to work with and learn from Jim , our VP of People and Talent, and see how this small but mighty company got things done, close to 2 years later I'm even more excited. I joined when the Talent team was just 5 people, and today we are a team of 17 spanning EMEA and North America with dedicated recruiting teams in Engineering, Sales & GTM. This hire will join us to support sourcing for our Sales teams. Joining the Talent team at Ashby is unique - we are the end user of our product and get to work with designers, engineers, marketing and other cross functional teams to share our expertise and feedback. One example of that? Liz’s episode on our #offeraccepted podcast talking about strategic sourcing work. Interest in our product is driving amazing growth and, as a People Team, we need to expand our capacity to hire. Not only will you get to help build the people side of our business but you’ll also get to become an expert user of our product and a thought leader on how to use it. You’ll get to make a lasting contribution to the whole recruiting community as we drive improvements across the talent tech space. Check out our Recruiting blog and Hiring Excellence Framework as an example of our content creation for the talent community. Joining us means being part of a talented team, tackling the challenges of our stage, and contributing to our team and product growth. We value humility, continuous improvement and a dedication to excellence ( more here ). If you are passionate about bringing your unique strengths to the team and building a culture of success, we would love to hear from you. Instructions: Take your time with your application, you do not need to be first to apply or in the first 100 to get this job. The closing date for applications is June 17th and we will NOT review any applications or speak to anyone until after that date/time. We will review EVERY application and speak to the shortlist we make based on the applications. There are no prizes for being first and no advantages to be gained by reaching out, being referred or knowing someone here, so please don't message anyone at Ashby, including anyone on the Talent team. We review thousands of applications at Ashby, and I thought it might be helpful to share some tips on how certain resumes stand out for TA roles. These are just tips, not requirements, so please only use this if it's helpful to you. Resumes that show deep full lifecycle sourcing for relevant (SaaS Sales) roles stand out. A sentence saying you’ve sourced a variety of roles doesn’t tell the reader you have experience with Sales leadership or Enterprise AE roles, for example. Role descriptions on resumes that focus on delivery of hires will stand out. Projects and leadership are great, but I need to see the evidence of you doing the Sourcing work. Resumes that can clearly show this experience in a growing B2B SaaS organization The JD states "Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies" and the stand out applications will demonstrate this in their resume Another note on the JD is around impact: “"Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows" and data can show this impact. Ability to articulate how you’ve conducted root cause analysis to identify and solve problems. Answers to application questions. Each question has context provided or real meaning for us, beyond what we would see in your resume, and applications that get short listed will have answered these questions. The Role Ashby is seeking a Sales Sourcer with a proven track record of discovering and hiring amazing GTM talent. In this role, you will own the end-to-end development and execution of Sourcing strategies to find exceptional talent to fill critical Sales roles. Success in this role over the next six months will involve finding, engaging and evaluating high quality candidates to meet our company's hiring needs for GTM positions across the business. It will also require building and collating phenomenal talent pools to create a strong infrastructure for future growth. You will achieve this by: Finding, engaging and evaluating top talent for Sales positions Developing passive pipeline processes that focus on the very highest quality of hire as we scale Discovering and quantifying new talent pools and sourcing channels Engaging with departmental leaders and hiring managers to expertly qualify requirements and define searches Focusing on quality and alignment at the optimal volume to meet goals As you are probably ascertaining from the above – we are looking for a person that gains energy from both strategizing on creative ways to accelerate our hiring as well as getting their hands dirty finding and evaluating candidates. To be qualified for this role, you must have the following: Proven track record as an expert Go To Market Sourcer in a Product led company Experience working on Sales roles from within a SaaS company is critical Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows, balancing diversity, quality and volume. Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies that differentiate the talent pipelines from the inbound attraction and referrals that we have traditionally used. If you need someone else to do any of the following, then this role is probably not for you : Boolean search and talent mapping activities Requisition qualification with senior leaders High volumes of outreach and screening calls Prioritization of your workload Benefits Competitive salary and equity. 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable. Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅. Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise. Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive! $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval. If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us. Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply. Interview Process At Ashby, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together via talking through past projects and conducting a short but realistic assignment. Our interview process is 4 rounds: 30-minute introduction call to discuss Ashby and your past work with me (Steph) so expect a traditional recruiting screen. A take-home assignment that will ask you to create a hiring strategy for a role as well as an example of a tailored outreach to a specific candidate we will provide you. A deeper dive into your Sourcing experience with Jim that will follow on from your assignment submission 2 hours - (broken into 4x 30 mins) with Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and a Sourcing focused interview with Liz . Your Recruiter Your Recruiter will be me (Steph), I will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. A word from a future colleague! Hello, I’m Liz . As the first sourcer (and person!) to join the TA team under Jim, I’ve enjoyed not only seeing the Talent function gain its momentum and grow with Ashby, but also having real impact on that growth. One of my favorite things about being part of this team is the ability to operate with a reasonable amount of autonomy and define what “great” looks like. Ashby as a product isn’t recycling what’s already been done, and with the right mix of expertise and principled thinking, the way we find and attract talent doesn’t have to either. About Ashby We’re building the next generation of enterprise software and we’re starting with a suite of products that help talent leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers run their hiring process significantly better. We are well-funded, have incredible product market fit, and are backed by great investors, including Y Combinator, Elad Gil and Lachy Groom. Our product and growth are exceptional. Ashby All-in-One is powerful, easy to use, and replaces several venture-backed companies' worth of products (often with a better experience). We have notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. Our growth and retention metrics are best-in-class among our peers: we have tens of millions in ARR, growing >100% year over year, over 4,000 customers, very low churn, and many years of runway. Ashby provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities. Ashby is committed to a fair and transparent hiring process. We confirm that this advertisement is for an active, existing vacancy within our organization. Please be advised that we may use artificial intelligence-driven tools to assist our recruitment team in screening, assessing, and selecting candidates for this position.

Fortune and Fortune Media IP Limited are not affiliated with, and do not endorse products or services of GitLab. An Overview of this role We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to serve as an internal PM embedded within this team. This is not a traditional external-facing product role—it is an internal platform product leadership position. You will own the roadmap for our enterprise systems, act as the strategic voice of the business within engineering, and bring senior product craft to a team of Analysts and engineers who build and operate GitLab's revenue infrastructure. This role is ideal for a seasoned product leader who has deep Quote-to-Cash or Finance domain knowledge, thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, and is energized by mentoring high-performing teams through complex, multi-program environments. What You’ll Do Internal Product Roadmap Ownership Define, own, and maintain the multi-quarter internal product roadmap for QTC and Finance Systems, covering Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, NetSuite, and the CDot metering platform. Translate business strategy from Finance, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Sales into sequenced, prioritized system capabilities with clear outcomes and success metrics. Balance competing program demands—stabilization, net-new capability delivery, and technical debt reduction—with transparent trade-off frameworks. Drive quarterly and annual planning ceremonies, partnering with Engineering Managers and Business Systems Analysts to align capacity with roadmap commitments. Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Translation Serve as the primary internal product voice for all QTC and Finance Systems initiatives, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Legal. Lead discovery, requirements workshops, and business process design sessions to translate complex financial and commercial requirements into actionable system specifications. Own the decision layer between "what the business needs" and "what engineering builds," resolving ambiguity with structured frameworks and documented decisions. Navigate cross-functional stakeholder dynamics including SOX compliance, audit controls, and revenue recognition governance (ASC 606/IFRS 15). Team Mentorship & Capability Building Act as a product craft mentor and senior thought partner for the BSA team, actively upskilling analysts in product thinking, requirements structuring, acceptance criteria definition, and roadmap communication. Model and instill product management best practices—user story writing, prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, MoSCoW), sprint review discipline, and outcome tracking—across the team. Partner with leadership to evolve the operating model of the team from project-execution-focused to product-thinking-led, raising the bar for how ETA delivers business value. Provide structured feedback and growth coaching to BSAs on career development, helping analysts grow toward senior and lead levels. Program Strategy & Delivery Oversight Lead product strategy for major multi-quarter programs (e.g., consumption-based billing iterations, CLM/Order Forms, Zuora Product Catalog refactors, ERP optimization) from discovery through go-live. Define and maintain program-level dependency maps across concurrent workstreams, surfacing risks early and driving cross-team resolution. Own UAT strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with BSAs, ensuring system changes meet business requirements before production release. Support post-launch stabilization and continuous improvement cycles, prioritizing defect resolution and incremental enhancements based on business impact. Systems Architecture Collaboration Partner with Enterprise Architects and Engineering Managers to evaluate build-vs-buy-vs-configure decisions for new capabilities. Bring informed opinions on QTC platform architecture trade-offs (e.g., billing model design, middleware integration patterns, revenue recognition rule configuration) based on deep domain knowledge. Stay current on platform roadmaps for Salesforce, Zuora, and NetSuite, identifying opportunities to leverage native capabilities before custom builds. What You’ll Bring 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in an internal platform PM, enterprise applications PM, or systems product leadership role. Deep domain expertise in Quote-to-Cash systems: Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, and NetSuite ERP are the core stack—hands-on configuration or implementation experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to own and communicate multi-quarter internal product roadmaps to senior business and technology stakeholders. Strong command of revenue lifecycle processes: opportunity-to-quote, order management, billing and collections, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial close. Experience operating in a SOX-controlled environment with an understanding of audit trails, approval workflows, and change management requirements for financial systems. Track record of successfully running complex, multi-program delivery environments with competing priorities and shared engineering resources. Sufficient technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineering on API design, data model decisions, and integration trade-offs—without needing to write code. Experience with consumption-based or usage-based billing models About the team You'll be joining the Revenue Lifecycle & Finance Systems team within GitLab's Enterprise Technology Architecture organization. Our team is responsible for the systems and processes that power GitLab's entire revenue lifecycle—from configure-price-quote through contract execution, billing, revenue recognition, and financial close. We are in an exciting and demanding phase: transitioning GitLab's go-to-market from a pure subscription model toward consumption-based offerings while simultaneously modernizing our core platforms. This role will be central to shaping how that evolution happens—and how the team grows in capability and product maturity alongside it. How GitLab Supports Full-Time Employees Benefits to support your health, finances, and well-being Flexible Paid Time Off Team Member Resource Groups Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan Growth and Development Fund Parental Leave Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you're excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application. Country Hiring Guidelines: GitLab hires new team members in countries around the world. All of our roles are remote, however some roles may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements. Our Talent Acquisition team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process. Privacy Policy: Please review our Recruitment Privacy Policy.
